What is the prom dress code?As children of God, we know that dressing modestly reflects our faith and our values. Each of us possess inherent precious value, worth, and dignity that God desires for each of us. The physical beauty that God bestowed to women is a blessing that we acknowledge, and we trust that our young women know how valuable they are as His creation. We acknowledge that our worth and value come from being created in His image (I Corinthians 6:19-20), and we know that we are called to honor God with our bodies and our choices. In that light, we want to give you some clear guidelines to keep in mind when choosing your prom attire so you can avoid any unnecessary anxiety or stress. Please avoid choosing attire that displays excessive cleavage, or bare skin on your midsection. Hem lines and slits should go past your fingertips, and there should be enough fabric on the back of your gown for a young man to place his hands on fabric if you are dancing together. We will have garments on hand to help remedy any issues, but we know that it would be preferable to address these things privately and before the night of prom. Please feel free to reach out to Tammy Benedict at 469-222-5717with any questions or concerns prior to the weekend.
-
